The first piece I am going to discuss is the overture to King Stephen, Pop. 117. It was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven(1 770-1827), one of the greatest German composer in he Western musical tradition. The genre Of this composition is overture that is the instrumental introduction to the work King Stephen. The whole work has ten movements which are typical of the Classical style and the genre is oratorio. This overture movement is duple meter, and it is in the andante con motto form.
In my opinion, this overture is a program music that shows the scene when the first king of Hungary enthroned and it also draw a picture of the beautiful scenery of Hungary. The overturn begins with a stirring call to attention, then develops and recapitulates two different themes, both with a folksy Hungarian character. The length of this overturn is about eight minutes and played by two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, contrabass, four horns, two trumpets, timpani, and strings. The second piece I am going to discuss is the Symphony No. In D Minor, Pop. 36 composed by Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827). It was in the Classical period, and the genre of it is Symphony because of it had four movements. The first movement is in the Adagio molt form, the second movement is in the Lorgnette form, the third movement is in the Scherzo: Allegro form which breaks the rule of most of symphonies, and the fourth movement is in the Allegro molt form. The length of the work is about thirty-five minutes and played by flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, two horns, two trumpets, timpani, and strip nags.

The second Symphony begins darkly enough, moving to D minor midway through the introduction, but otherwise there is astonishingly little of Beethoven’s personal misery here. In the third movement, the composer did not use the traditional minuet, but used the scherzo which is more cheerful and this action became more common after the composition. Though this composition was written in adversity, the work has abundant strength and pleasant felling. It ends with a monster coda that comes creeping in on the heels of the unaccompanied violins but soon reveals the rowdiest intentions.
I really enjoyed the symphony performance because this wonderful performance was just shocked me and I found that symphonies have the indescribable attraction. I think Ludwig van Beethoven has become to my favorite composer because his talent in symphony. It was hard to find a exactly word to describe the feeling I got after I had heard the whole performance, but in conclusion, it was a indelible experience and made me begin to fall in love with symphonies.
